Advisory Committee
March 8, 2007 Meeting Minutes
Present: Port, Bierwirth, Alvarado, Burns, Ellison, Farrell, Friedman, Kiernan, Lauter, Manning, O'Meara, Reardon, Seelen
Chair Linda Port called the meeting to order at 7:34PM in the Town Hall Building.
The Committee approved the minutes of the March 6, 2007 meeting.
Bill Reardon introduced Val Talmage, Chair of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC) and gave a brief update on the activities to date.
Val Talmage provided the Advisory Committee a detailed review of the CPC budget and of each approved project.
The following proposed CPC projects were discussed at length and voted on favorably by the Committee:
. The CPC Administrative Fund
. Bare Cove Park Phase II
. The Iron Horse, Fountain at Queen Anne Corner and Brass Markers
. The Septic System at 132 Scotland Street
The Harbor Walk proposal was discussed and no vote taken. The project information will be updated and a vote will taken at the Tuesday, March 13th Advisory Committee meeting.
Jerry Seelen provided an overview of the Warrant Articles proposed by the Planning Board. Jerry Seelen, Lou Alvarado and members of the Planning Board led the discussion of five zoning Warrant Articles.
The Committee approved the following articles:
. Special Permits and Site Plan Review
. Rezone Land on Fottler Road. Jack Manning voted no and Linda Port (not voting, as Chair) asked to be recorded as in opposition.
. Enforcement
. Parking Requirements for Multi Family Housing
. Definition of a Structure. Jerry Seelen voted no.
The Town By-law - Harbor By-law Warrant Article was voted on favorably by the Committee.
The Chair asked the Committee to be as prompt as possible for Tuesday's meeting since it is a very long agenda.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:21PM.
