Mock Drunk Driving Accident

	Mock Drunken Driving Accident, A presentation by SADD, Students Against Destructive Decisions
	On Wednesday, April 30, the High School Administration along with Hingham Police and Fire Departments put on a mock motor vehicle accident involving alcohol. The accident was staged at the rear of the HIgh School. Members from the High School Drama club volunteered to be the victims of the accident.
	The driver of the vehicle has gotten out of the car wondering what has happened while one of the femail passengers is injured and hysterical.
	The Fire Department has arrived and begins the process of victim assessment and treatment of injuries.
	The Police take the driver of the vehicle aside for sobriety testing while the Fire Department discusses how to remove the two trapped occupants.
	Fire Fighters ready the Jaws of Life while the paramedics work on the trapped occupants.
	Extrication of the front passenger is started and glass is removed from the windows for patient access.
	Prior to removing the roof, the hatch back must be removed.
	The roof is being removed from the vehicle to allow for better patient access and removal.
	The female passenger is removed from the vehicle and placed on the stretcher for transport to the hospital. The fatality is behind the police officer on the ground.
	The fatality's mother arrives on scene and runs to the police officers.
	The police officers have the unpleasant duty of notifying the fatality's mother of her son's death.
	The Funeral Home arrives with the hearse to remove the body.
	Officers Peraino and Powers, along with the Fire Department personnel address the students after the mock accident.
