OPEN RECREATION HOURS

Due to limited participation at Open Rec, the gymnasium is now used for organized recreation programs on some weekdays. The gymnasium is open when a recreation program is not in session. The following is the schedule for the Spring Session through June 15, 2008.

Game Room: Sunday - Saturday 3 - 6 PM

Gymnasium: Saturday & Sunday 3 - 6PM
Monday 4:45 - 6 PM
Tuesday 4:45 - 6PM
Wednesday 3:00 - 6PM
Thursday 3:00 - 6PM
Friday 4:45 - 6PM

The mission of the Hingham Recreation Commission is to provide high quality, affordable recreation programs as well as maintain safe and accessible fields and facilities throughout the Hingham community. our program offerings will strive to assist all Hingham residents in enhancing their physical, social and emotional well-being.

• 7th & 8th Grade Dance scheduled for May 9, 2008 conflicts with the Hingham Middle School Musical and will be rescheduled.  
• The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation has selected the Hingham Recreation Department to participate in the "Use Nature As Your Guide" Park Pass Program.  Residents are invited to explore 450,000 acres of parks, campgrounds, forests, mountains and beaches right in your own back yard!  Residents may borrow thte ParksPass from the Recreation Department entitling the bearer to free parking for one vehicle at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts state park system. 
• SUMMER FUN CLUB for children ages      3 - 5.  Held at the Hingham Middle School.  Monday - Thursday 9:15 - 11:15 AM.  Two sessions starting July 7th and July 14th.  The fee is $50 per session.
• Sign up for Kahn Youth Wrestling Summer Program Get in tiptop shape and become a better-conditioned athlete while learning to wrestle. Absolutely no experience is necessary. Register early for this FREE program.
• You'll flip for our new GYMNASTICS program held on Thursdays. Register and start any time. Fee will be prorated.
• New Childcare Hours - Monday & Friday from 9 - 12, Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 - 11:30 Spin Class Session 3 - Schedule Sat & Sun 8:30 AM; Mon 5PM; Tues 5:45 AM, 8:30 AM, 7PM; Wed 5:45 AM, 8:30 AM, 5PM; Thurs 5:45 AM, 8:30 AM, 6PM; Friday 9AM
