Mission
The mission of the Hingham Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition is to foster a strong and inclusive community that promotes choosing a healthy lifestyle and informed and responsible choices about drug and alcohol use.
This mission is supported by evidence based, prevention focused, sustainable practices and is informed by data such as from local surveys and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health statistics that help to guide practice and program planning.
Hingham Coalition
The Hingham coalition is comprised of a broad spectrum of concerned stakeholders from across all sectors of the community, including student and adult residents, first responders and other town employees, government groups and organizations and interested parties from other communities are welcomed.
The Coalition promotes communication and collaboration to meet the needs of the Hingham and the broader community.
Initiatives & Goals
The Coalition's initiatives include support for educational opportunities for both students and adults in the community that will include learning about healthy choices.
An overriding goal is to promote changes in behavior in an environment that is positive, trusting and non-judgmental.
