COVID 19 Contact Information
As a precautionary measure to prevent and mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the Town of Hingham is suspending all non-essential services as of close of business on Friday, March 13, 2020. The Town is planning to operate in this limited state until at least Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
Provided below are the best contact methods currently available for our departments along with comments about available services. Town staff will be working remotely to the extent possible and will continue to monitor and respond to emails and voicemails on a limited basis. You must call the Building Department and leave a message to schedule an inspection. We will call you back and schedule a time and date for the inspection. Please be advised we will not be entering occupied buildings or dwellings to conduct inspections.|

|Light Plant||749-0134||During HMLP’s normal office business hours, Monday through Thursday 0730 to 1630 and Fridays from 0730 to 1330, our customer service representatives are working from home using laptops and special telephones that will, hopefully, make their not being here in the building invisible to you. Payments can still be made at www.hmlp.comor you can drop off a check at the HMLP mailbox located outside Town Hall (they will be picked up by HMLP personnel). If you need to start or stop service please fill out the appropriate form at www.hmlp.com
If you have no power or are experiencing an electrical emergency situation you should call 781-749-0134 during or after normal business hours. This is the regular call protocol and nothing has changed in that regard. After hours “trouble” calls are being handled the same way now as before this trying time. Call 781-749-0134 and the on-call troubleman will respond. All other field operations’ work is on hold for the time being.

Documents can be scanned and emailed to staff but we recommend following up by mailing a hardcopy.|
Emergencies Call 911
|PoliceRecords@hingham-ma.gov||The Hingham Police Department will maintain the same staffing levels and continue to respond to all emergencies and calls for service. We have restricted all public access in police station to the front lobby only. All civil fingerprinting appointments, firearms permit appointments*, tours, meetings, and Citizen’s Police Academy classes have been postponed.
Police Records will be closed to walk-in requests, all requests will be handled electronically. All public records requests should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please do not go to the police station to file a records request. If your LTC is due to expire within the next 30 days please email email@example.com and a licensing officer will reach out to directly.

|South Shore Country Club||749-8479||The Town of Hingham has closed all facilities until 4/7. This includes SSCC the golf course, bowling alley, simulators and Raffael's. The Greenside Grill is open for takeout only|

We are working with boards and committees to facilitate the conduct of public meetings remotely via conference call. Meeting agendas and minutes will continue to be posted in the Agenda Center as well as official posting.|

Municipal Lien Certificates: Attorneys, please scan and email a copy of your request to Collectors@hingham-ma.gov, as first class mail receipt by office may be delayed. We will make every effort to meet the ten day turnaround with Sales being the highest priority. We will provide verbals when time is of the essence.
