3. Questions and Comments
Audience comments are always welcome as agenda items are discussed. The School Committee has set aside fifteen minutes on this agenda to enable members of the audience to raise questions and make comments on any matter of general concern that is not on the agenda. Individual speakers shall be limited to three minutes. Speakers are reminded that the meeting is being televised and are asked to respect the privacy rights of others. Comments against any individual are not allowed by Policy #3.7.5.

• Presentation of the Administration’s proposed FY ’18 Operating Budget, as adjusted for changes since the meeting of January 30, 2017
• Discussion of budget reallocations that could be used to fund Special Education initiatives
• Comments and questions about the proposed FY ’18 Operating Budget

6.2 To review a proposed fee for late payment of kindergarten tuition for school year 2017-2018, as recommended by the Community Outreach Subcommittee, and act as may be appropriate.

6.3 To review proposed tuition increase for the Integrated Pre-K program for school year 2017-2018, as recommended by the Policy Subcommittee, and act as may be appropriate.

6.4 To review proposed tuition increase for the Kids in Action program for school year 2017-2018, as recommended by the Policy Subcommittee, and act as may be appropriate.

6.5 To receive a bid for a 2017 7D 10-passenger Transportation Van and act as recommended by the Director of Business and Support Services.  

6.6 To receive financial and budget updates from the South Shore Educational Collaborative’s meeting held on January 20, 2017.

6.7 To discuss the Health and Wellness Center proposed warrant item, and act as appropriate.

6.8 To continue discussion about the School Committee’s longer term planning and initiatives and priority setting.

6.9 To receive notification of the appointment of Angela Hoey Special Education clerical paraprofessional, effective January 30, 2017 and Laura Kennedy, Language Lab Technician, effective January 25, 2017, both at Hingham High School.

6.10 To receive notification of the resignation of Samuel Perkins, paraeducator at Hingham High School, effective February 13, 2017.
