HPS METCO Director Amy Jackson will join R. Swanson and J. Lee in previewing Unity Week.
3 - BUDGET UPDATES
R. Swanson will provide some information regarding the development of the FY24 school budget.
4 - SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT GOAL #4 (ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP)
RS will represent HHS on 1/19 at an all-schools meeting about environmental practices.
Representatives of all six HPS schools will be asked, “What’s going well?” and “What most needs to be
improved?” How should those questions be answered for HHS?

Notes: Per Section 59C of MGL, the first meeting of the School Council must occur within the first 40 days of the
school year; the principal must co-chair the council; no more than 50% of the council can come from “non-school
members;” the parent representatives must be selected by the PTO through an election process; parents must have
“parity with professional personnel;” the council must include at least one student; and a “co-chairman shall be
selected” at the first meeting.
