The Town of Hingham is mobilizing to reconstruct and repave the entire length of the following roads.
- Highfield Road
- Southgate Lane
- Westmoreland Road
- Beal Street (southbound - Churchill Road to Fottler Road)
The exact scheduling dates for each roadway will be dependent on contractor scheduling and weather conditions. The Town currently anticipates mobilizing reclamation equipment to Highfield Road, Southgate Lane, and Westmoreland Road on or around September 19th to reclaim those roads, and moving to the southbound lane of Beal Street between Churchill Road and Fottler Road on September 20th. Crews will begin working within the roadways to lower structures September 16th-18th. Paving dates are currently pending, and microsurfacing will most likely occur in the summer of 2025. Additional notice will be provided when the work is scheduled.
Some work may take place during early morning hours to minimize any inconvenience this may cause you. You may experience minor travel delays during this time. On-street parking from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm will not be permitted, except as directed by on-site representatives. We apologize for any inconvenience.
