The Hingham Climate Action Commission invites residents and interested parties to attend a public information session on the Municipal Opt-In Specialized Building Code on Tuesday, November 12 at 7pm. This session will be held via Zoom.
At Town Meeting 2025, voters will be asked whether to approve a new specialized building code. This code has already been adopted by 46 Massachusetts communities and is endorsed by both the Climate Action Commission and the Energy Action Committee. Adopting this code is one step in granting Hingham access to substantial state grant monies that will support our transition to a net zero future.
