Next Monday, April 28th, we will begin Hingham’s Annual Town Meeting. You, the voters, will decide a host of items; these include a proposed operating budget of almost $166 million, design funds for a new Center for Active Living, Recreation and Community Preservation issues, work at Hingham Harbor, capital improvements to our School Buildings, land use questions, including changes to our recently adopted regs on Accessory Dwelling Units, and more.
Please be sure to check in by 6:30, so we can start promptly at 7:00 PM.
Open Town Meeting remains a pure exercise in self-government, a right and a responsibility that should never be taken for granted.
Please take part in the meeting, where these critical decisions will be made. It won’t be the same without you.
