The MassDEP's Drought Management Task Force continues to monitor the states drought status and the Southeast Region remains in a Level 1 - Mild Drought. This requires the WRWS comply with the Level 1 - Mild Drought Status requirements and remain in a Level 1 Water Ban.
We want to remind all residents and customers of the Weir River Water System in Hingham, Hull and North Cohasset, that we remain in a Modified Level 1 Watering Ban. Over the past several days we have notice an increase in usage between 2:00 AM and 9:00 AM which is an indicator that residents are watering on their off days. A notice will be going out in the mail this week further outlining and stressing the importance of water conservation. Thank you to all residents that continue to comply and support the conservation of this important natural resource.
