The Hingham Veterans Council is now taking nominations for the 2025 Veteran of the Year
The recipient will be announced during Hingham’s Veterans Day celebration on November 11, 2025 held in Hingham Town Hall.
The individual will receive formal recognition by both the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Senator and State Representative from our District. The recipient will also be honored with a banner and a ride during the July 4th Parade.
Criteria for Nominations & Eligibility:
- Veteran under Massachusetts General Law; MGL Chapter 4, Section 7, Clause 43
- Current resident of the Town of Hingham, or resident at the time of the nomination
- Community service volunteer performing activity of significant value to Hingham
- Notable civic leadership, strong character, respected member of the community
- Deadline for application is October 15, 2025 @ 15:00hrs.
Nominations should be made in letter/essay format, and attached to a completed application form
