[ARCHIVED] Winter Storm Update

Storm Warning

Update: Gov. Healey has issued a travel ban in Plymouth County on non-essential motor vehicle travel. There will be a $500 fine for driving during the travel ban.

Residents are urged to continue to stay off the roads to allow crews to work safely and effectively, as driving conditions are very dangerous. Fewer vehicles on the road will allow snow removal crews to clear faster. Safety is our top priority, and we focus on getting roads open first, followed by sidewalks. Please bear with us as we navigate this extraordinary storm cleanup.

The Parking Ban has been extended  through Thursday morning, February 26h. All vehicles must remain off the streets to allow plows to work. Violators will be towed.

All Town Facilities will remain closed through Tuesday, February 24th (Town Hall, Hingham Public Schools, Library and South Shore Country Club).

For storm information please see the attached Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) Nor'easter Situation Report /DocumentCenter/View/27390
