[ARCHIVED] Repaving/Reconstruction Notice June 1-11

Construction Notice:   June 1-11, 2021

The Town of Hingham Engineering Department will be repaving and/or reconstructing the entire length or sections of the following roads beginning June 1, 2021, weather and time permitting.

  • Triphammer Road
  • Heritage Road
  • Catha Lane
  • Monument Circle
  • Old County Road
  • Presidents Road
  • Concord Circle

This work will take place during regular construction hours, between 7AM and 5 PM. Please be sure to check our Town’s website for any updates to this schedule.

You may experience minor travel delays during this time. On-street parking will not be permitted from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM during the days contractors are working in your neighborhood. An additional notice will precede work on your street. It is important that you avoid on-street parking until this project is complete. Vehicles which interfere with this project will be removed. 

Vehicle access to your property (driveways-parking etc.) may be limited during certain times while the work is underway, please seek guidance from available representatives (Police/DPW/Engineering Staff) that will be onsite during the work. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This work will initiate with Full Depth Reclamation in Triphammer Road and Catha Lane, and continue with additional reclamation work in Old County, Concord Circle, Monument Circle and Presidents Road, to be followed shortly thereafter by our paving contractor. The final resurfacing (Microsurfacing) will take place at a later date, yet to be determined, and will include Grenadier Road and Old County Road to Cushing Street.
