The Town of Hingham Engineering Department will be microsurfacing the entire length or sections of the following roads during the period of June 23, 2019 and will continue through June 24, 2021 or until complete.
- Main Street (Free Street - Crooked Meadow Lane)
- Friend Street
- Sgt. William B. Terry Blvd.
All scheduling dates are dependent on weather conditions and subject to change. This work will take place during night and early morning hours to minimize traffic impacts and any inconvenience this may cause you. While this work is in progress, a portion of Main Street will be closed to traffic and detoured. Please be sure to check our Town’s website for any updates to this schedule.
You may experience minor travel delays during this time. On-street parking will not be permitted from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. It is important that you avoid on-street parking until this project is complete. Vehicles which interfere with this project will be removed.
Vehicle access to your property (driveways-parking etc.) will be limited during certain times while the work is underway, please seek guidance from available representatives (Police/DPW/Engineering Staff) that will be onsite during the work. The curing time for each application can be up to two hours. We apologize for any inconvenience.
