On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, the Weir River Water System (WRWS) will begin mobilization of the Downing St, Hingham, water main replacement project. This project is scheduled to be completed in approximately 4-5 weeks. A new 6" water main will be installed on Downing Street from Pleasant St to the end of the street.

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Crews will also install three fire hydrants and water services from the new main to your property line. All residents should expect periodic interruptions in water service and there is the potential of discolored water throughout the project. Our commitment to system infrastructure improvements will continue over the next several years.

Please check your washer prior to doing laundry as these shut downs may cause discolored water.
