The Town of Hingham is anticipating to repave and/or reconstruct the entire length or sections of the following roads in 2022:
Reconstruction/Paving
- Cape Cod Lane
- Crooked Meadow Lane
- Downing Street
- Elm Street
- Emerald Street
- Main Street (South Street to Elm Street)
- Marshall Road
- Meadow View Road
- Pleasant Street
- Plymouth River Road
- Pond Street
- Stoddard Road
- Sunset Lane
- Thaxter Street (to RR Tracks)
- Thayer Street
- Willow Circle
Microsurfacing Only
- Beacham Place
- Bradley Hill Road
- East Street
- Lazell Street
- Main Street (Short Street to Pleasant Street)
- Short Street
The exact scheduling dates for each roadway will be dependent on timing of available funding, contractor scheduling, limiting impacts to school transportation, and weather conditions. An additional notice will be sent out approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the road work. Microsurfacing will take place over the course of two consecutive nights. For roads fully reconstructed this year, microsurfacing may occur in 2023.
Some work may take place during early morning hours to minimize any inconvenience this may cause you. You may experience minor travel delays during this time. On-street parking from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm will not be permitted. We apologize for any inconvenience.
