[ARCHIVED] Fall Hydrant Flushing Program - PHASE 3

The Weir River Water System would like to notify residents that we will begin our Fall Hydrant Flushing Program on Sunday October 30, 2022 at 9pm and is expected to be completed by the morning of November 19th, 2022.  This process removes sediment and minerals that collect in the water mains. Flushing will be conducted during the over night hours between 9pm and 5am to minimize disruption to our residents.  However, you may notice a temporary drop in water pressure or may experience discolored water. Running the cold water from the outside spigot, lowest point in the house, or in the bathtub, for several minutes typically clears the lines.  Flushing will commence in the area of Turkey Hill Tank to the Summer Street Rotary and work towards Hull High School.  We will send notifications each week to update you on our progress and where we anticipate flushing in the coming week.  We will also post signs in the areas of active flushing.  Please note that there may be some preliminary work being done this week in conjunction with the Cohassett Water Department in the area of Whitney Crossing.
