Tomorrow is the November 8, 2022 State General Election. Polls will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
- Precincts 1-4 will vote at Hingham High School, 17 Union Street
- Precincts 5-7 will vote at Hingham Middle School, 1103 Main Street
- Precinct 7A will vote at Willard Square, Linden Ponds, 201 Linden Ponds Way
The ballot is double-sided. Town of Hingham questions related to the Foster Elementary School and Public Safety Facility projects are Questions #5 and #6 on the back side of the ballot. Please see the Select Board’s explanations of the “yes” and “no” votes for Questions #5 and #6.
QUESTION 5
Shall the town of Hingham be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bonds issued in order to pay for the costs of professional fees, constructing, equipping and furnishing a new elementary school to replace the existing William L. Foster Elementary School located at 55 Downer Avenue, Hingham, MA (Lot 1 on Assessors’ Map 38)?
A Yes vote will allow the Town to borrow funds and raise taxes to build a new Elementary School.
A No vote means the Town is not authorized to borrow funds or raise taxes to build a new Elementary School.

Shall the town of Hingham be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so-called, the amounts required to pay for the bonds issued in order to pay for the costs of professional fees, constructing, equipping and furnishing a new Public Safety Facility located at 335 Lincoln Street, Hingham, MA?
A Yes vote will allow the Town to borrow funds and raise taxes to build a new Public Safety Facility.
A No vote means the Town is not authorized to borrow funds or raise taxes to build a new Public Safety Facility.
