Vacancies on Conservation Commission


The Board of Selectmen and the Conservation Commission are requesting Talent Bank Applications from residents interested in joining the Commission; currently, two vacancies exist.

The Commission is responsible for administering the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Hingham Wetland Regulations, which govern activities in and immediately adjacent to local wetlands, waterways, and floodplains. The Commission holds two public meetings each month, on Monday evenings, to review permit applications, issue permits, and conduct other business related to the management of Hingham’s natural resources.


Residents with knowledge and experience in the fields of landscape architecture, civil/environmental engineering, hydrology, ecology, or law are encouraged to apply.
