[ARCHIVED] Recreation Department Programs and Facilities Closed

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are all doing well and staying healthy!

The Hingham Recreation Department has cancelled all programs and events until ay 5th. This includes our Childcare, fitness classes, East Explorers and our Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt.

We have begun to provide a variety of Remote Classes and hope that you will be able to continue to participate in Rec offerings.
Additionally, you may have seen “No Trespassing” signs at Hingham fields and playgrounds. To help prevent the spread of Covid-19, Hingham has closed its playgrounds, outdoor tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, outdoor skateparks, and athletic fields. We ask that everyone respect these closures and please try to follow the recommended guidelines on social distancing.

We are reviewing registration for upcoming scheduled programs. Wherever possible we will assess the potential for make-up dates and rescheduling. Where this is not possible we will begin to process cancellations and refunds. Additionally, the Recreation Department is reviewing registration timelines for upcoming Summer 2020 programs.

All interviews for summer counselor and volunteer positions are being rescheduled. The Recreation Department staff will be monitoring emails and we are happy to answer any specific questions as we go forward. As this is still a fluid, changing time, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we sort through these matters.

Be Well, Stay Safe and Keep Sane!

See you all soon!
