You may also observe our Officers taking extra precautions while on patrol. For example, Officers may choose not to handle a driver’s license or other paperwork while interacting with motorists or individuals. They may instead copy down your information or use their portable police radios to call in some information. Officers may ask people to step outside a home or business helpto speak with them, or in the cases of those coming into the police station lobby they will need to speak with an officer through an intercom or phone.
