[ARCHIVED] Bulow Road / Bulow Place Project Update

2/12/21 Update: Due to the Presidents Day Holiday and predicted winter storm for Monday night into Tuesday, all construction activities will be on hold and resume on Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Should you have any questions please feel free to contact Russell Tierney at 781-804-2304 or

Contractor: Dig It Construction, E. Dennis, MA, 508-432-1635

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

All work on Bulow Rd suspended this week due to extreme cold and weather conditions. Out intent is to return to work on Monday, February 8, 2021

During the week of February 8, 2021, we will focus on service connections on Bulow Road. Notifications regarding service interruptions will be in writing to residents. We will install a new fire hydrant at the end of Bulow Place, pressure test, disinfect and sample the new water main. Once passed we will start to schedule service installations on Bulow Place as well.

During the weeks of February 15 and February 22, we will continue with service line replacements, final main connections on Fottler Rd and in the parking area of Walgreens. We anticipate project completion by February 27, 2021.

Last week we completed the installation of the water main on Bulow Place and connected it to Bulow Rd. Pressure tested, disinfected, and sampled the water main on Bulow Rd from #117 to Fottler Rd.

Over the next few weeks, we do not anticipate overall interruptions in water service but due to the age of the existing water main and the accuracy of existing records, there may be situations in which we will periodically shut down the water main. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this project.

Please check our website for periodic updates regarding scheduled shut downs / service interruptions. Please check your washer prior to doing laundry as these shut downs may cause discolored water.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Weir River Water System at 781-804-2304 or
