Hingham Municipal Light Plant has asked The Town to assist them in communicating the following message:
Hingham Municipal Light Plant;s printing company (which they have been using since 2013 without prior issues)
sent you an incorrect hard copy bill. They used the electronic file from September 2017 and not the one from July 2018. The correct bills will be reissued this Saturday and hopefully be delivered via USPS by Tuesday. The discount period will be extended accordingly.
This situation applies only to hard copy bills. People who use the HMLP’s paperless bill pay system received the correct bills. Those who are set up on auto pay will have the correct amount withdrawn from their accounts even though the 1st
hard copy bill they receive will reflect the September 2017 billing period.
HMLP apologizes for all confusion surrounding this error.
