Community and civic organizations should use this form to register your float, marching unit, or riding unit. Businesses should use the Business Application. Vehicles should use the Vehicle Application.
The Committee strongly encourages participants to design an entry that relates to the parade theme. This year's theme is "Cheers for Hingham's Volunteers"
All applications are subject to Committee approval and proof of non-profit status if requested. The Hingham 4th of July Committee reserves the right to remove any entry the Committee determines to be inappropriate or a danger to participants and/or spectators. Nothing may be dispersed during the Parade.
All floats must provide a representative to the pre-parade SAFETY meeting held before the parade at the high school (Union Street entrance).
Floats may not be more than 13’6” high.
All floats must have at least 2 walkers per axle beside it along the entire parade route to ensure the safety and clearance of the float and spectators!
Floats must be accompanied by walkers at each wheel when in motion.
Children may not get on or off the float during the parade unless in case of emergency.
ALL Floats must provide a representative to the pre-parade meeting

I, the undersigned, being fully appraised of all potential harms and dangers connected with the congestion and excitement of the Hingham 4th of July Parade, do hereby discharge, release, absolve, and hold harmless the Town of Hingham, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim or liability incurred by any participation in the parade.
