Party Specific Ballots

For a primary you receive a ballot for the party in which you are registered.  However, if you are unenrolled, or have a party designation other than the ballots offered, you may choose a ballot from the Democrat, Republican, or Libertarian Parties.  Once you have received a ballot and have been checked off in the book you may not ask for another party ballot.

Voters' Guide

To help voters prepare for the primary, the League of Women Voters of Hingham has posted an interactive 2018 Voters’ Guide that will show you candidates on the ballot in each party. The guide is on the home page at www.my.lwv.org/massachusetts/hingham.
Your primary ballot also can be viewed at the “Elections and Voting” tab on the website of the Massachusetts Secretary of State: www.sec.state.ma.us.

Voting Locations and Times

Our Polling places will stay the same with precincts 1-4 at the High School, 5 and 6 at the Middle School and precinct 5A at Linden Ponds.  The Linden Ponds voting location will move from the Oakleaf Clubhouse to a new location in Willard Square (201 Linden Ponds Way).

At the High School we will continue to vote in the gym. To get to the gym please use the Pleasant Street entrance and follow the driveway to the back parking lot.  Use the entrance on the right closest to the fields. As we have done at previous elections, walking through the school to reach the gym is not allowed.  The Union Street entrance will be locked as it is during school hours.

Voting at all precincts will be from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM.  As September 4th is the first day of school, entrances to the parking areas at the High School and Middle School will be quite busy at the beginning and end of the school day.   If you can, please work around these times.

The Town Clerk’s Office is looking forward to Primary Election day and we appreciate your cooperation to make it a success.
