    This Year's Parade Theme is "Building Brighter Futures". Celebrate Independence Day by participating in the biggest 4th of July Parade in Greater Boston!

    There is no fee for antique and novelty vehicles, however, your donation helps us cover the cost of the Parade:  Please make checks payable to “4th of July Parade Committee.”

  2. Mandatory Safety Meeting - Monday, June 30, 2025 at 7 PM

    ALL antique and novelty vehicles must have an adult representative attend the mandatory Safety Meeting at the Hingham High School with the Hingham Police Department.

    • Hingham Police Department personnel will review safety and route information.
    • Parade Rules and Guidelines will be reviewed and questions will be answered.
    • You’ll be notified of your assigned number and position in the staging area at this meeting.  
    • A map of the Parade staging area and route will be provided to you.
  3. No Throwing of Candy
    • For the safety of children, do not throw candy!
    • You may hand out candy while walking with your vehicle. Help keep children out of the street and harms’ way. 
    • Throwing candy from vehicles entices children to run into the Parade path among moving vehicles.
  4. Parade Lineup and Staging
    • 8:30 AM    Vehicles assemble in the designated area of the Hingham High School rear parking lot 
    • 10:00 AM    Parade begins at 10:00 AM on July 4th

    Use the Union Street Entrance and proceed to the rear of the High School.  DO NOT attempt to use Pleasant Street to enter the line-up!

    I, the undersigned, being fully appraised of all potential harms and dangers connected with the congestion and excitement of the Hingham 4th of July Parade, do hereby discharge, release, absolve, and hold harmless the Town of Hingham, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim or liability incurred by any participation in the parade.
